Wooooo... lots of junk going on right now.
First off, my homepage has finally recieved a much needed face-lift. It is still under heavy construction, but "Eliot's Homepage v3.0" has gone live. I will be revamping the template for this blog as well, but right now I am too busy. And lazy.
Now, on to everything else.
I've recently acquired a Mac Mini, complete with Final Cut Pro 4.5. At last, I have an editing system all to myself- and I've certainly been putting it through its paces, along with my GL2.
I just finished the video for The Wizard of Oz, which will be projected on a giant screen during the play. I can't wait to see it!
I'm flying down to SoCal again this Friday for a portfolio review session with CalArts, and I need to finish the first assembly of my all-new narrative film (Working title: The Interview) by then. I'm also trying to hack together an artsy non-narrative from some random footage I've been shooting.
I got permission to use Espen Gätzschmann's "Nova
Observatory Theme" in my art film. This will be a first for me, as all the other soundtracks to my films have been blatantly stolen.
I may also use the song "Breakaway" for the closing titles in my narrative piece. It was created by my uncle Alan, so I will be able to get permission for it as well.
So- two films to edit, and one week to do it. It will be interesting to see if I can pull it off.
Peace out.
